Once you have identified the names of appropriate indexes, the next step is to locate it.

• Print indexes: get the call number from the subject or research guide, the subject page, or the online catalog. Unless the online catalog or the subject guide tell you otherwise, go to the reference section of the library and look for the shelves containing the call number of your index.
• Electronic indexes: go to the library web site. Look for the section containing the electronic indexes (sometimes called "databases" or "electronic resources"). Click on the link for that specific electronic index.
