Use access tools to find information sources

Subject searching online catalogs for indexes

Do a subject search on the broad subject area of which your topic is a part, followed by the subdivision -indexes. Frequently, you will need to use the double subdivision -periodicals-indexes. Because the listing for indexes can occur either or both ways, you should always search using both the single subdivision -indexes, and the double subdivision -periodicals-indexes

Examples are:
biology - indexes
biology - periodicals - indexes
psychology - indexes
literature - indexes
