Using the library web sites to find indexes

Library websites have links to all of the web accessible indexes owned or made available through the library and may have lists of print indexes. To find appropriate indexes for your topic:

  1. find the section of the library web site that links to the electronic indexes
  2. look for links that divide these electronic indexes into broad subject areas
  3. scan the list of electronic indexes for your broad subject area - read the descriptions of the subject areas they index
  4. select the two or three most likely to contain information on your topic
